We see the same in ... ( 2 months ago by Lagomort)
We see the same in all groups. Basal synapsids start out looking the same and then traits accumulate in branching patterns. Then the next group (like Therapsids) shows up looking much like the end of one of these previous branches and then new traits accumulate in a similar branching pattern until you reach another group (Like cynodonts) and then they once again do the same until you reach basal mammaliformes and so on...
We can do this with most groups rather well...

This reminds me of a National Geographic magazine that I looked at when I was kid. It portrayed drawings of what dinosaurs looked like if they had evolved. It showed a raptor then morphed thru time to look like a reptilian humanoid. Even at that age I relalized it was wrong.

It still sounds as if you are talking micro evolution.
The guy who came up ... ( 2 months ago by Lagomort)
The guy who came up with the idea of certain Dinosaurs eventually becoming humanoid was Dale Russel. His ideas are unsupported by any facts, and he knows it, He just likes to think out loud.
However, the facts are that all the traits of modern birds do not just show-up in some animal in the fossil record. What you get are basically small feathered dinosaurs. Over time teeth are lost, the breastplate develops, the tail is reduced, the dorsal vertebrae shorten and fuse, and so on and so on,,,
Basically put, the ... ( 2 months ago by Lagomort)
Basically put, the small changes simply accumulate into larger changes over time by addition, and you start off with something that is far more dinosaurs by build, and end up with something that resembles what we see today, as in modern birds.
In reality this is a perception problem for you. You created walls that do not exist. Basal tetrapods are still just fish, but their fins have evolved traits that we call "hands," and "digits" and due to this we call them a new group, but these traits...

...are just novel expressions in genes that bring about a new set of morphologies that allow for different niches to be developed or invaded, In other words, we can call these basal tetrapods fish if we so desire, or amphibians, or tetrapods...the landmark is in the mind of the observer.
The same with mammals, Thrinaxodon has developed many mammalian traits, but still not all the key ones we use diagnostically. Because of this we still call it a cynodont, and not a mammal,,,
Most of the traits ... ( 2 months ago by Lagomort)
Most of the traits required have been filled by the time you reach something like the Morganucodontids, yet it is still a matter of opinion. I do not consider a Morganucodontid a "true" mammal, as it certainly retains a few tiny, but important traits from advanced cynodonts that are modified in modern mammals in consistent ways.
What is key is the gradual accumulation on the geological record of those traits between buaplans, which allows one to start at one point, and end in the other...

Wow really... This is proof that dinosaurs are still alive. Obviously that is not a fish and it's not evolving into a dinosaur.

@Lagomort so you saying feathers just grow onto animals? thats kinda like saying people were monkeys.... which is bullshit

Fishbio
We are apes,..not monkeys. If you do not like the fact,..go punch sand.
Next, vertebrates have an integument. How that integument develops is controlled by genes. Variation in gene expression occurs, and selection selects. This results in differing aspects to different species when it comes to their integument.
Study gene expression, fractals, and mutation, and you will learn how feathers can develop.
Although healthy ... ( 1 month ago by somethgblue69)
Although healthy skepticism is a good thing too often we humans simply dismiss anything we don't understand or can't identify as a hoax and stop investigating once we arrive at a solution that fits our limited imaginations. There is much of this planet left unexplored and everyday new wonders are being dicovered, yet the 'truth' is being suppressed by those of us (large majority) unwilling to seek the truth!

i can see why people would instantly think its a plesiosaur or a similar prehistoric sea monster, when i first saw it i thought the same thing, until i searched some more and saw other known basking shark carcusses, its at least more likely a basking shark than anything else

youre right, not because wiki said its a shark, but i saw a documentation about this video, and they guess/think its the rotten body of a big shark without lower jaw ... whatever, its very interessting ;-)
